On Tuesday 11th February we hosted our February Adoreum Club Breakfast at Home House with our incredible returning speaker, Dr Claire Guest.
Following on from the success of our Women Empowers breakfast last September, we invited Dr Claire Guest BSc(Hons) MSc DHP HonDSc and Betsy Duncan Smith back to speak to Adoreum Club breakfast this month.
Dr Claire Guest Co-Founder of Medical Detection Dogs joined us to share the exceptional breakthrough work their charity is doing with Bio-Detection and Medical Alert Assistance Dogs to save lives.
The medical detection dogs are either trained to find the odour of diseases such as cancer in samples or to detect minute changes in an individual’s personal odour triggered by their disease such as diabetes. The work Dr Claire and the team at Medical Detection Dogs are doing is truly phenomenal and we were lucky enough to be joined by two dogs in training at Home House. Dr Claire shared with us a variety of video clips showcasing the incredible work the training dogs do and what impact they have on people lives.
Thank you very much to the team at Home House for hosting us so effortlessly and serving such a delicious breakfast.
