On Wednesday the 17th of October, we hosted our monthly Adoreum Club Breakfast series at The Langham Hotel, London.
We were honoured to welcome the talented sportsman, presenter, and business owner Andy Nicol. Andy is a former Scotland rugby captain, presenter on BBC and BT Sport, and columnist for Scottish Daily Mail as well as the CEO of ABSTRACT.
Andy joined us to share his personal journey from the rugby pitch to the green room to the boardroom. He spoke about his experiences of transitioning from a rugby player to taking the opportunity to become a commentator for the BCC to falling into a 7-year career at RBS before taking the leap and becoming CEO of ABSTRACT, a business consultancy specialising in people development. Andy spoke about the importance of being able to match the skills and qualities required to be successful in sport to the world of business and decision making.
The breakfast was sponsored by London Technology Club – A new exclusive Club for investors and tech professionals which aims to create a community of potential investors and industry experts, providing a platform for investing, networking as well as an exchange of advice and experience. The club provides access to excellent tech companies seeking investment which is often hidden or closed for many investors – the pooling of professional expertise and experienced investors, completely turns this around, opening up a wealth of previously closed opportunities.
A big thank you must go to Andy Nicol, London Technology Club and The Langham and who provided us with a spectacular dining space and breakfast menu.
Remembering in the words of Andy Nicol – “Seek opportunity – Take action – Enjoy what you do.”
