Important

From time to time through your Adoreum Club Membership you may meet investors or become aware of potential investments. Adoreum is not an authorised person within the meaning of the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000, if you choose to engage in any investment activity you must take independent advice from an authorised person. You should be aware investments may expose an individual to significant risk of losing all of the property or other assets invested. Adoreum is not liable for any losses flowing from any investment activity by its members.

Adoreum has a private community within its club for active investors. Adoreum approves entry to this private community by ensuring all individuals within it adhere to the following criteria for an “Experienced Investor”:

In the United Kingdom, the term "experienced investor" is used to identify individuals who possess the knowledge and expertise to make informed investment decisions and understand the risks involved in certain types of investments. The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) defines an experienced investor as an individual who meets one or more of the following criteria:

High net worth individual: An individual with an annual income exceeding £100,000 or net assets (excluding primary residence and pension) exceeding £250,000.

Sophisticated investor: An individual who meets at least one of the following conditions:

a) Has been a director of a company with an annual turnover of at least £1 million within the last two years.

d) Has worked in the past two years in a professional capacity in the private equity sector or in the provision of finance for small and medium enterprises.

The purpose of identifying experienced investors is to provide them with access to certain types of investments that may not be suitable for retail investors due to their complexity or higher risk profile. Experienced investors are considered to have the necessary knowledge and experience to make informed decisions about these investments and understand the associated risks.
